RIETI -about IoT -Roboted living environment and its standardization

I am currently supervised by Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence (AI) at the Industrial Technology Research Institute (Prime Minister of the Industry), but I was originally studying robots.My research began with a robot of housing itself, and has been studying to shift robots that have developed mainly in the secondary industry to the service industry.

The direction of robot research is that high intelligent and various functions are integrated into one robot to create robots that do anything like humans.A typical example is humanoid.In addition, there is a direction to provide robot services by linking with the external environment without having to integrate all the functions of the robot.I aim to be a business model that combines the latter environment and robots, loweres the cost of the robot itself, and provides robots at low prices.

In the past, in the past, in the past, one computer was generally controlled and controlled various sensors, but now the robots have CPUs on actuators and sensors, which are through networks inside.It's just connected.In other words, the need to be integrated if the communication environment between parts is good for each robot element component such as actuators and sensors, so it can be distributed into external environments such as rooms and buildings.

For example, it is easy to connect to the camera installed on the ceiling and detect the object without recognizing it with the eyes of the robot itself, and I think that the cost of the robot itself can be reduced.。This is called a robot of the environment, basically the same as a robot of the house itself.
