Upon learning of this situation, our company decided that it would be better to develop a new aerial work platform that complements the weaknesses of the rope gondola while making the most of its advantages. Immediately, I acquired a qualification in the GWO (Global Wind Organization) safety training for wind power generation equipment workers, and took a test ride on a conventional aerial work platform. Based on that experience, we exchanged opinions with Vestas blade technicians and came up with the completion of this new aerial work platform that aims to improve worker safety and work efficiency. ■ Concrete efforts toward the realization of a sustainable society　The workbench developed by our company is an efficient type that can work on both the left and right sides of the blade at once, and the scaffolding can be done under stable conditions. . In addition to improving work safety, inspection efficiency can be greatly improved by increasing the number of blade inspections per day, which was limited to 2 per day, to 5-6 per day. The minimum number of people required to carry out the work has been reduced from the conventional four to two, and an improvement in cost can be expected.
